Parallel partners with Cincinnati Bell
Columbus, OH – Aug. 12, 2009 – Cincinnati Bell Inc. (NYSE: CBB) is bringing its
powerful eVolve Business Solutions product portfolio to Columbus and Central Ohio,
providing small and medium-sized companies with new options for next-generation voice
and data communications. The eVolve Business Solutions portfolio includes hosted and
premises-based Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephony services bundled with
broadband Internet access. The product portfolio can be customized to deliver
enterprise-class features and capabilities at a price small and medium-sized businesses
can afford.
Cincinnati Bell’s eVolve Business Solutions portfolio will be available to Central Ohio
business customers through a strategic partnership with Parallel Technologies, a local
company with a 26-year history of providing comprehensive business telephony systems
throughout the Midwest.
The flagship product in the eVolve Business Solutions portfolio is eMerge, a hosted
telephony solution. Drawing on years of experience gained by designing and managing
complex communications systems for Fortune 500 customers, Cincinnati Bell developed
eMerge specifically for small and medium-sized businesses with five to 125 employees.
eMerge unifies the communications environment—office phones, Internet, and wireless
devices—and enables administrators to manage everyday functions such as adding or
removing users online via a Web-based portal instead of at a private branch exchange
(PBX).
