Parallel Participates in Annual “Food Fight” for the Holidays
Continuing the company’s tradition of year-end giving, Parallel Technologies’ Cincinnati and Dublin offices have once again coordinated their annual food drive to benefit local area food banks in need of help during the holidays.
Parallel’s annual “Food Fight” competition between both offices has been a yearly tradition during the months of November and December to encourage employees to bring food donations in each week. The office that brings in the most donations receives the honorary Food Fight plaque.
This year the Cincinnati office was the winner, with a total of 1,661 pounds of food donated. The Dublin office was not far behind, with a total donation of 1,465 pounds. The total 3,126 pounds of food was donated to the Mid-Ohio Food Bank in Grove City and Matthew 25 Ministries in Blue Ash.
“It’s so much fun to see the friendly competition between offices each year,” said Joe Redman, President. “But nothing beats seeing all of the food going on to the food bank trucks each year. We are so proud of our employees for all they do to give back to our communities, especially during this time of year when the need is great.”
Parallel would like to recognize Kim Jackson of the Columbus office and Karrie White of the Cincinnati office for coordinating the Food Fight initiative this year, and keeping it fun and engaging with weekly food “themes” (think breakfast and beans!), and frequent 50/50 raffle drawings. Parallel would also like to thank its employees for their continued commitment to helping those in need in our Ohio communities.
